Job Listings
Counselor
The purpose of this role is to initiate and develop resident treatment planning goals through contact with patients, family, colleagues, and other staff. As such, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of patients and family members.
- Performs individual and process group therapy sessions including preparing materials for sessions.
- Manages patient files by having all appropriate documents.
- Communicating with referral sources and company representatives.
- Attends treatment team meetings.
- Participates in community meetings with patients.
- Completes family sessions as necessary.
- Facilitates utilization reviews with appropriate funding sources in a timely fashion.
- Attends trainings as necessary.
- Maintains patient caseload daily.
- Listens to patient concerning all areas of treatment.
- Maintains safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for patients including crisis intervention.
- Facilitates process groups, one-on-one sessions, and family sessions.
- All other duties assigned.

Night-Shift Driver
Job Description - 3PM and Later (Availability):
Provides safe and timely transportation for patients. The driver will be responsible for transporting patients to and from the facility, as well as to medical appointments and other approved destinations, while ensuring a secure and supportive environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor toward patients, visitors, and co-workers at all times.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of patients during transport, including assisting individuals as needed.
• Conduct daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Keep vehicles clean, orderly, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Follow all traffic laws and facility transportation policies to ensure safe operation.
• Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle, including securing seatbelts or other safety restraints when necessary.
• Lift and transport items up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Communicate effectively with facility staff regarding transportation schedules, patient needs, and any incidents during transport.
Qualifications:
• Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening and a criminal background check.
• Physically capable of stepping up and down stairs and assisting patients safely.
• Strong ability to work independently while following transportation protocols and schedules.
• Previous experience in a transportation or patient-support role is preferred but not required.
Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description:
The RN staff provides medical support and guidance to our patients in collaboration with PAs, Medical Director, LPNs, and other medical staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess individual patient care needs, initiate medical treatment plan and competently implement/instruct all care in the appropriate nursing practice to all staff.
- Serve as a resource to treatment team members.
- Pre-admission screenings, arranging transportation, and scheduling admissions as needed.
- Perform admission assessments, LOC, and review patient histories to document all necessary information.
- Prepare patients for examinations: height/weight, vitals, collect and process lab specimens including UDS, UA, etc. following proper infection control procedures.
- Utilize safe and effective practices of medication management as defined by policy including the oversight of self-administration observation of medication.
- Administer and monitor the effects of medications, ensure accurate medication is ordered and administered for controlled substances and conduct accurate med counts.
- Provide appropriate patient education as determined by patient assessments/needs and treatment plans.
- Monitor and/or perform withdrawal assessments and appropriately implement/instruct the necessary nursing interventions.
- Schedule all patient appointments related to their medical treatment.
- Work a flexible schedule based upon service demands and work mandatory overtime as needed.
- Attend all mandatory trainings as identified by SpiritLife, Inc., policies.
- Attend multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings and group sessions (when applicable) when in unit nurse role.
- Maintain the quality control logs.
- Ensure the highest level of professionalism for self and staff and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Complete yearly training requirements and mentor new employees.

SpiritLife, an inpatient substance abuse treatment facility located in Penn Run, PA, is seeking an Assistant to the Chef. Responsibilities include:
- Meal preparation

Safety Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Safety Specialist to join our team. This position will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of premises, assets, and individuals, while also providing local transportation services for patients in a safe, timely, and courteous manner. The ideal candidate will have a background in security, as well as experience transporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol premises to ensure the safety and security of the site, employees, patients, and visitors.
- Conduct regular security checks on entrances and exits
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations, taking appropriate action to resolve issues.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports of incidents, activities, and security concerns.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary.
- Safely transportpatients locally to and from destinations in a timely and professional manner.
- Respond to crisis situations
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times while interacting with patients.
- Assist in any other security-related tasks as needed, including the monitoring of emergency exits and special events.
- Maintain necessary documentation related to pre and post trip logs.
- Stay informed of any changes in security procedures, local traffic laws, or safety regulations.

- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or security certifications preferred.

Nursing Department Supervisor
Job Purpose:
Responsible for day-to-day supervision of a 10-15 member nursing staff (RNs and LPNs) responsible for 24/7 medical monitoring and support of male and female adults suffering from substance use disorders. Responsible for maintaining the highest quality nursing practices and performance standards in an inpatient, residential treatment facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Nursing Supervisor’s duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Direct and manage nursing staff work schedule.
- Direct and participate in new hire recruitment and selection.
- Responsible for maintaining highest quality nursing practices and performance.
- Manage and organize current nurse trainings as well as new hire orientation.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for the nursing department.
- Serve as initial contact for all nursing staff regarding scheduling, staffing, patient care or organizational issues, reporting directly to the Medical Director.
- Serve as initial contact for patient complaints or questions regarding medical care or services or nursing staff.
- Assist and collaborate with the Admissions, Utilization Review and Nursing Departments on intake, assessment and pre-certification practices.
- Coordinate and communicate with nursing staff to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
- Interact on a continuous basis with other departments such as the counseling staff, administrative staff, and physicians to promote the coordination of patient care.
- Ensure timely and complete documentation of treatment services through regular review of charts and records and reports findings to the Medical Director.
- Assist the Medical Director, when necessary, in the monitoring of program services.
- Attend all coordination of care meetings.
- Monitor confidentiality procedures regarding all patient care information to assure patient rights are protected
- Support other departments with administrative tasks as required
